Do you do anything to ensure projects are environmentally friendly?

Sustainability is increasingly important in property development, and we're conscious of our environmental impact:

Building standards: All our UK projects must comply with current building regulations, which include energy efficiency requirements. New builds must meet specific insulation, heating efficiency, and energy performance standards. Many projects exceed minimum requirements to achieve better Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) ratings, making properties more attractive to buyers.

Developer practices: We favour developers who incorporate sustainable practices like using sustainable or recycled materials where possible, minimising construction waste, implementing proper waste management and recycling on-site, and considering the environmental impact in their planning.

Modern methods: Some of our projects use modern construction methods like modular building or timber frame construction, which can be more environmentally friendly than traditional methods.

Location and transport: We consider projects' locations in terms of access to public transport and local amenities, reducing car dependency.

Future improvements: While we don't currently have strict ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) criteria for all projects, this is something we're developing. We're exploring ways to provide more transparency about the environmental impact of each project.

Investor interest: We know many investors care about sustainability. If this is important to you, check each project's details for information about energy efficiency ratings, sustainable features, or green certifications. You can also ask us specific questions about a project's environmental considerations.

While we're not exclusively a 'green' investment platform, we recognise the importance of sustainable development and encourage our developer partners to build responsibly for the future.
