What is property crowdfunding and how does UOWN work?

Property crowdfunding means a crowd of investors (like you) collectively fund a property project and each investor owns a share of it. UOWN is an online platform that makes this easy – you browse available property development projects and invest alongside others. When you invest with UOWN, you're buying shares in a project's holding company (often called an SPV) that owns the property. Because it's equity investing (not a loan), you get a proportionate share of any profits when the project is completed and sold.

In short: we pool funds to acquire or develop a property, the project is managed to completion, then profits (if all goes well!) are split among investors based on shares owned. UOWN handles the legwork of finding and managing projects – you just pick an opportunity, invest, and let the development take its course. We no longer offer loan investments, so every deal on UOWN is equity-only in the property's development company.
