Why do I need to take a quiz or classify my investor type?

When you sign up, we'll ask you a few questions about your investing experience – that little quiz isn't just for fun, it's to classify your investor type. This is actually a regulatory requirement (even though UOWN isn't FCA-regulated, we stick to best practices). You'll self-certify as either a restricted retail investor, a high net worth (HNW) investor, or a sophisticated investor. This helps ensure you understand the risks and nature of the investments.

In plain English, it's a check to make sure you're sensible enough to use UOWN. Don't stress about it – just answer honestly. The quiz will explain each category, and most people will fall under 'restricted investor' (meaning you agree not to invest more than 10% of your net assets per year in these kinds of investments).

Once that's done, you're all set to start investing. It's all about making sure you (and we) invest responsibly.
