What if I change my mind after investing? Do you have a cooling-off period?

Yes – we all have moments of second thoughts! When you make an investment on UOWN, you have a 14-day cooling-off period immediately afterwards. During those 14 days, you can cancel your investment for any reason (or no reason at all) and get a full refund directly back to your bank account. No penalties, no strings attached. You can trigger a cancellation yourself through the platform or by contacting us.

However, note that this cooling-off is only available up until the point the project moves forward. Once the deal has legally progressed – for example, once contracts are exchanged to purchase the property or commence development – the investment can no longer be canceled. At that stage, the project is legally binding and funds are committed to the property, so you're locked in until the project exit. We'll usually let you know when a project is about to pass that point.

So, if you invest and then have an 'uh oh' moment, just act quickly (within the two-week window). We understand that life happens and minds change. After the cooling-off period, your investment will ride out the project to completion, as there isn't currently any way to exit early (see Investments & Developments FAQs for more on liquidity). But during those first 14 days, you're free to change your mind and get your money back – no hard feelings!
